My Journey
Tracy Takeda MA LCPC
I knew that for my vocation I wanted to give back and invest in others as many did in me. Initially I did not know that it would be through counseling but am thankful for the journey that led me to study psychology, to a meaningful graduate experience and to different community mental health agencies. I am blessed to have been a counselor for over 20 years, serving children, adolescents, families and adults. Founded in my training, I integrate an approach that is client centered, meaning focused that can help bring emotional, behavioral and relational change. I value understanding the family and community systems we are a part of as these have strong impacts on who we are. My specialties are working with children, adolescents and adults dealing with depression, anxiety, divorce, grief, spiritual and faith integration, and family and relationship concerns.
I also enjoy photography and desire to capture photos that are moving, life-filled, evoking an emotional response. I like to change the focus, the blur, the perspective. Similar to photography, counseling can be a tool to bring reflections that are meaningful and hope-filled.
